Gamesley primary school

Year 6 Oak and Year 6 Ash Classes

Welcome back after the May half term - we hope you have enjoyed your week off!

This term will be a busy time for the children but hopefully lots of fun too. We have our  trip to Llandudno in June, Pirates of the Curry Bean production in July followed by our leavers assembly on the last day of term. As well as this, children will also be visiting their chosen secondary schools for transition visits; we will give you more information about this closer to the time.

As always, we are available to discuss any queries you may have after school or if after-school is inconvenient, you can arrange an alternative time with us.

Thank you for your continued support,

Miss Lydia Regan & Miss Sarah Kuczaj

Our little visitor!

This week in maths, Year 6 have been trying very hard on their shape work. A class competition was set up to see how quickly children could reflect the original pattern. This task required real team work!
Year 6 know how to make a VERY messy digestive system. The understanding that children have shown and the pieces of writing that they have produced as a result have been brilliant!

Science - The Digestive System

Year 6 have celebrated Roald Dahl day 2016 by making lots of crafts to do with his stories. We made BFG ears, Mr Twit beards, Willy Wonka hats and BFG Dream Jars. Happy 100th birthday Roald Dahl!
