Welcome to Willow and Cherry Classes!

We are so excited about our summer topic, We Are Britain! We have planned lots of interesting activities to learn about our communities and what it means to be British.
Please keep reading and doing homework together as this has been scientifically proven to help children make good progress. Remember you can scroll down to bottom of this page to find links to websites with lots of fun games that practise maths and literacy skills!

Thanks for your support,

Miss Brown and Mrs Bridges

First Aid - We had a visit from Graham the paramedic who answered all our questions and taught us about how his service responds to emergencies. We also learnt how to treat cuts and grazes, a nosebleed, a sprained ankle and how to put someone into the recovery position.

Enterprise Week September 2016: We harvested vegetables from the plot, then washed and chopped them. We served the veggie sticks with dips for 25p to KS2 children at playtime. We made £20 net profit, which we will send to help orphaned children get an education at Rajpura Village School in India, run by the charity, SOS Children's Villages. Well done, Year 2!

We had a lovely afternoon observing the end of the summer season in the garden.
